Salamander Scramble 5K. This is our 3rd year involvement with the event. We pledged our annual support with $500 donation in prizes and our goal of raising $1000 for Renfrew Institute

Advanced Chiropractic, Foot & Ankle care provided free evaluations and treatment recommendations for the athletes of the Pennsylvania Special Olympics Summer Games held at Penn State University in State College on June 9-11, 2011. The event brought together over 2,000 athletes and 750 coaches from across the state. Drs. Bui and Cao served as volunteer physicians for the event. Dr. Stephen Bui and Dr. May Cao are part of the “Fit Feet” initiative. Along other doctors and support staff of “Fit Feet”, they were able to conduct over 200 evaluations and consultations. Many athletes were given heat molded insert to better support and stabilize their feet. Many lower extremities conditions including flat feet, lower leg misalignments, bunions, hammertoes, Achilles tendon disorders, sports overuse syndromes were addressed with recommendations and referrals.
"It’s the same enthusiasm and excitement brought on by the talented athletes and dedicated coaches that bring us back again this year" Dr. Bui said. “We look forward to return next year” added Dr. Cao.

Our Office Shoes Drive: our story was featured in Chambersburg's Public Opinion
Walking a mile in someone else's shoes can make a difference, try letting someone else walk in yours!
With your help we were able to collect over 150 pairs of new or gently used shoes and additional socks for The New Hope Shelter in Waynesboro, PA.

2010 Cumberland Valley Women's Conference sponsored by Penn State Mont Alto, Wilson College, and Shippensburg University. The theme of this year’s conference is Be Well, Live Well, Stay Well. The intended audience is women of all ages and from all walks of life in the Cumberland Valley. Dr. Faour presented a workshop on "Healthy Feet, Happy Feet, Healthy Women".

Waynesboro's Summer Jubilee July 4th Celebration with Firecracker 5K race. Our team (ACFAC) is part of the Salamander Scramble Team at the race supporting Renfrew Institute. We donated $500 in prizes and were excited to meet our goal of raising over $1000 for Renfrew Institute

Dr. Najiah Faour of Advanced Foot and Ankle Care, Waynesboro, Pa gave expert advice on children foot conditions at Penn State Mont Alto’s Pediatric Health Fair. In addition she stressed the importance of prevention and how to handle sports related injuries. She also demonstrated to parents on proper shoe fitting for children.

Waynesboro teams prepare for the 200-mile relay from Gettysburg, PA to Washington D.C. in the 2nd American Odyssey Relay. Dr. Bui will be a team captain again second year in a row.

Advanced Chiropractic, Foot & Ankle Care was recognized with new exhibits: foot and gait screenings offered by Dr. Najiah Faour; Dr. May Cao gave scoliosis and spinal screenings; and Melissa McCullum gave free massages and massage demonstrations.

Dr. Bui completed his first marathon at the 14th Annual Steamtown Marathon in Scranton, PA. He completed 26.2 miles in 4 hours after taking up running as a sport 1 year earlier. Thanks to the supports of Waynesboro Running Club - CFAR.

Drs. Stephen Bui, May Cao, Najiah Faour and Bobbie Helman ran the Firecracker 5K as supporters of the Salamander Scramble of Renfrew Institute. Over $1500 was collected and donated by Advanced Chiropractic, Foot & Ankle Care for Renfrew Institute.

We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Najiah Faour D.P.M. to our medical staff at Advanced Foot & Ankle Care. We welcome Dr. Faour from Flower Mound, Texas where she had been practicing in a private practice. She is highly trained in the full scope of podiatric medicine and surgical practice. Dr. Faour graduated from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. She has completed a 3 years Podiatric Medicine & Surgery residency training program at Alliance Community Hospital in Ohio where she served as the chief resident. Dr. Faour holds a medical license in both Pennsylvania and Texas and on medical staff at both Waynesboro and Chambersburg Hospital. She is board qualified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Faour also achieved Board Qualified status in reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Faour to Advanced Foot & Ankle Care and the Waynesboro area. She is looking forward to working with you in your podiatric care and is available to answer any questions you may have.

Gold's Gym of Waynesboro presents Dr. Bui as a guest speaker with discussion on "Excercise and Prevention of Injuries". Discussion includes questions and answers on health benefits of exercise, recommendations on selection of athletic gears and the importance of selecting the correct types of shoes for specific activities and foot type to prevent injuries.

Our office would like to welcome 2 new staff members, Debbie Sherrill and Sara Makin.
- Debbie has always lived in State Line/Greencastle area but just recently moved to Waynesboro. She has 20 years of experience as a receptionist and secretary, 15 of those years working in medical and dental offices.
- Sara just recently moved to Waynesboro from Johnstown, PA. She attended Cambria-Rowe Business College and obtained a degree in Medical Office Administration. She worked for 2 plastic surgeons in Johnstown after graduating before joining us.

He stressed the importance of proper foot care and diabetes. He offered tips on self examination, prevention of infection and amputation.

Eventhough, she's only 17 and currently attending Waynesboro High School, her excellent Spanish skill will help us improve communication with our Spanish-speaking patients. She is aspiring to become a certified medical translator.

The Advertiser News of NJ published an article written by Dr. Bui on "Summer Foot and Ankle Pain" for Saint Clares' Hospital which advise people to seek early treatment for specific foot and ankle injuries.
June 6th, 2006 Dr. Bui returned from Vietnam as a volunteer surgeon for Vietnam Medical Project (Danang, VN) . He's part of a team consist of nine physicians (including anethesiologists, surgeons, residents), who performed surgeries for children with severe congential deformities. This is Dr. Bui's second medical mission since 2004.
